<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sinofon Centre for Excellence in Research<\/strong> is an academic unit of the Faculty of Arts at Palack\u00fd University Olomouc. It was established during the sustainability phase of the research project Sinophone Borderlands \u2013 Interaction at the Edges<\/em> and continues to pursue its research activities to this day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centre is currently headed by Dr. Filip Kraus. It offers 18 full-time equivalent (FTE) positions and employs 25 researchers. Their work covers a broad spectrum of topics related to East, Southeast, and Central Asia, with a particular focus on interactions between these regions and the wider world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support its research activities, the Centre is organized into four research clusters focusing on anthropology; arts and humanities; political science; and language and literature. These clusters are further supported by three specialized laboratories: the Laboratory of Material Culture, the Language Laboratory, and the Lab for Data and Technology.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
